Cleon Peterson (American, b. 1973) is an artist and painter whose oeuvre is characterised by a graphic style reminiscent of the allegorical motifs commonly depicted on Greco-Roman pottery. Peterson's works depict chaotic and violent scenes, in which subjects are engaged in physical altercations and struggles for power. The nature of the artist's work is an exploration into themes which plague modern society, such as war, abuse of power, and deception.
