Pablo Picasso was heavily involved in the Peace Movement in the aftermath of the Second World War and had donated many works to raise funds for the cause. The image of the Dove of Peace was created by Picasso, and became the symbol of the peace movement. The present work made by the artist and released for the benefit of the World Peace Conference in 1957.
