The present work is an illustration 'Passage du Nord-Ouest'. It is the seventh print from a suite entitled 'La Nouvelle Chute de l’Amerique' [translated as, 'The New Fall of America'], which took the form of an unbound book. The edition consisted of suites coming from the book which were initiated 66, and those made separately in Suites (which the present work is) which were signed by the artist (the latter being more desirable).
