This original lithograph by Andy Warhol from around 1957, comes from the artist's estate.
Related to Warhol's personal project, "A Gold Book," this delicate work depicts a hand holding
a branch of flowers. The work is made even more unique by Warhol's inclusion of six fngers
on the hand. This example of Warhol's whimsical drawing is emblematic of the style that
made him one of the most sought-after commercial illustrators in New York City in the 1950s,
before his rise to Pop Art tame. This is a unique opportunity to purchase a lithograph from
Warhol's personal collection.
Proceeds directly benefit the non-profit charitable organization he founded with the mission to
advance the visual arts. Since its inception in 1987, The Andy Warhol Foundation has been a
stalwart advocate for freedom of expression supporting work that is experimental and
challenging in nature and from communities that have been historically marginalized.
