submitted this work to the William Scott Foundation for authentification and it has been confirmed under archive number 2347. We have a document to this effect signed by Lucy Inglis, Secretary of the William Scott Authentification committee.
There is a Galery Moos label on the backing board on which the title “Two Pears” is given. This suggests that the work is almost certainly the “Two pears” to which Moos referred in a letter to Scott dated 20th January 1976: “We have sold two of your recent coloured drawings which you were good enough to send to me, ie “Two Lemons and “Two Pears”
