Kent artist Tracey Emin and an East Sussex cross-Channel swimmer collaborated with the RNLI to raise £100,000 for them on 2014. Emin's original painting of Margate's lifeboat preparing for launch was sold for £30,000. Emin said: "From my personal ideas about the RNLI, growing up with it and the fact I know it is a fantastic charity, it was really easy for me and I knew exactly what I wanted to do." This print is one of the editions that was a part of this narrative.
