Sir Terry Frost used overlapping circles, rectangles and squares of bright colours to convey his own enthusiasm for perceptual phenomena. While serving for the United Kingdom in WW2, Frost met painter Adrian Heath at the Stalag 383 prison camp. After the war, the conversations he had with Heath inspired his own career as an artist. In this work, Frost uses the brightly coloured beachball to create a scene full of energy.
